About our President
Anne Maria Bello has been working on City Marketing since 2001. In 1999 she left her traditional job at Sears, Boynton Beach after 13 years, where working with the Operations Manager Tyrone Sanders she assisted on executing local store marketing strategies in the “physical world”.
She began her startup company performing all computer services, including web administration and internet marketing. She created an online concept in Palm Beach County, and in 2005 moved to Newberry FL, where she continued the concept and worked on building the brand. Today, she continues to own and run PBParrot Designs & Computer Services, started in 1999, a full service web administration company, and as her marketing concept has expanded, she moved the marketing portion of the business to Visit Newberry Florida, which primarily services local residents and businesses through three online vehicles: GoNewberry.com, for the resident and business of Western Alachua County, NewberryFloridaSports.com, for the sports and recreation tourism industry in western Alachua County, and the growing tourism and hospitality industry here through VisitNewberryFL.com. Visit Newberry Florida acts as a private visitor’s bureau and tourist development center, while providing advertising opportunities to local business especially in Western Alachua County.
Anne currently operates her business in downtown Newberry as an incubator through the Newberry Tourism Office which is run by the Newberry Main Street Organization in a building owned by the City of Newberry, and works to not only increase local internet marketing, but physical city, county and state hospitality and promotion, through serving at the Tourism Center and Fire House Gallery.
Anne sits on the Board of Directors of the Newberry Jonesville Chamber of Commerce since 2006, is a past President, and Treasurer, and now serves as internet specialist. Anne also sits on the Gainesville Area Women’s Network board of directors, in the same capacity, and the Newberry Main Street Organization board of directors. In addition she is part of the EDC Committee for the City of Newberry, member of the Newberry Area Professionals, serving Friends of Dudley Farm Historical State Park, (on the Promotional team and Partner), member of the Alachua Hospitality Council, a Friends of Florida State Parks partner, as well as a partner with Visit Florida.
Anne is absolutely passionate about creating ways that others can see the value of Florida, but especially in the area surrounding Newberry in Alachua County, and outlying areas.
